Day 1 - Chromegirl's trip to see NIN in Chicago

Primal Email Interview with Chromegirl

SplatterTribe: Introduce and compare yourself to something you would find in a kitchen.

Chromegirl: Hi, My name is Chromegirl! If I had to compare myself with something I would find in a kitchen, it would have to be one of those citrus juicers made completely out of shiny chrome (Yes!)  I am a fruit and juice fanatic and I use mine everyday.

SplatterTribe: For anyone who may have no idea who Chromegirl is, please give'm the lowdown.

Chromegirl: I am a Go Go Dancer/Performance Artist/Alternative model  here in Los Angeles. I perform, I create all my own hairpieces, do all my own

makeup, design and make most of my costumes...I do it all!  I specialize in cyber themes but being a veritable chameleon I can do almost any look (Futuristic being my favorite!) I live-breathe-eat-sleep music and creativity.

SplatterTribe: How did the Chromegirl thing start?

Chromegirl: I have always had an affinity for silver (being allergic to gold and all.) I was in Las Vegas for a Go Go gig at a clothing convention and I saw this T-Shirt with the word Chromegirl on it and I thought, that's it! A perfect name for me! Once I started being online 24/7 I needed an email name since my boring real name (Shannon) was already taken, so Chromegirl it was.

SplatterTribe: Where do you get your costumes and designs for them?

Chromegirl: I make a lot of them myself out of plastic, foam, rubber, metal, tubing, computer parts, you name it! But I find a lot of my pieces and whatnot from EBay. Some of my favorite designers are Cyberdog, Dane, Craig Morrison, Alleycat, Futurstate, Artifice Clothing, and my friend Annisse does some pretty amazing things with EL Wire too.

SplatterTribe: Word Association time. Four words: Music, Entertainment, Art & Life.

Chromegirl:

Music  - life
Entertainment  -  dancing
Art  - inspire
Life  -   adventure

SplatterTribe: You're definitely 'Robot Hot', but If you where an actual cyborg and decided to take over the world, how would we be able to stop you or turn you off?

Chromegirl: My weakness would be silence. I am a music fanatic, so if you turned off my aural abilities and I wasn't able to hear or dance to  music I would definitely not want to do anything at all!

SplatterTribe: Finish the following sentence for me.

If you don't like Chrome Girl, you can...........

Chromegirl: .....get to know me better, because once anyone gets to know me, they generally like me >:)

SplatterTribe: Make one combined sentence out of the following words......

Chrome
Splattered
Shop
January
Sharp
mouse

Chromegirl: In a shop this January, the quick, sharp, shiny Chrome girl will jump over the blood splattered mouse.

SplatterTribe: What visually come to mind when you hear the word SplatterTribe?

Chromegirl: I picture all those cool mohawk leather and feather guys from Mad Max splattered in blood for some reason.

SplatterTribe: One of your listed occupations besides go-go dancer & model is bartender. What would the bartenders special be?

Chromegirl: I have quite a few specialties actually! I LOVE to create tasty fruity girly drinks with fresh fruit. Here are two of my favorites:

Blackberry Lemonade
--------------------
1 Ounce Blackberry Stoli
1 Ounce 99 Blackberries Blackberry Schnapps
2 Ounces Lemonade
4 Blackberries
Put all ingredients in a shaker with crushed ice, shake and strain into a glass with ice

Dominitrix
----------

1/2 Ounce Chambord
1/2 Ounce Peach Schnapps
1/2 Ounce Sour Apple Pucker Schnapps
1 1/2 ounces Cranberry Juice
1/2 Ounce pineapple juice
4 Raspberries
Put all ingredients in a shaker with crushed ice, shake and strain into a glass with ice

SplatterTribe: Sum up 2009 highlights, lowlights, how was it for you?

Chromegirl: 2009 was actually a fantastic year for me. My highlights were going to Miami

for the Winter Music Conference and dancing at the Ultra Music Festival  -Going to Chicago for the first time for a  Nine Inch Nails concert  and meeting Trent Reznor (I am a HUGE NIN fan) -  Go Go dancing for The Electric Daisy Carnival, Nocturnal Wonderland, Monster Massive, How Sweet It Is, and  The Love Festival, as well as all my regular gigs - Bar Sinister, Miss Kitty's and Bondage Ball - Going on a 9 day cruise to the Caribbean in July (I LOVE to travel) and going to Las Vegas in November.

Lowlights? Business at the bar could have been better, and a few of my favorite clubs seem to be slowing down a bit, but all in all I had an excellent year.

SplatterTribe: I ask everyone I interview for a good, random question to ask a future interviewee. The question can be serious or tongue in cheek. It can be whatever you want it to be. This question comes from SplatterTribe's Miss December 'Rock Star' Roni Jonah and her question was....

"What is your underwear situation?"

Chromegirl: Hmmm...well...I guess I have enough. But I can always use a few more spiky ones made out of metal or rubber I guess >;)

SplatterTribe: Do you have a good, random question I can ask a future interviewee?

Chromegirl: What is your all time favorite sound?

SplatterTribe: Do you have a question you would like to ask me?

Chromegirl: Alright...how did the name SplatterTribe come about?

(Tribe Note: Well it actually came about because about a decade ago I wanted to start a Rock band/record label for me and my friends. Something like Hip-Hops Wu-tang Clan, but in a Rock form. That is where Tribe came from (Well, that and a paranormal experience I had when I was a kid, but that's a whole other story!).

All I needed was a name for our Tribe and one inebriated morning, it hit me while I was listening to 80's Rock Band Shotgun Messiah. They had a lyric in their song "Trouble" that went like this..........

--street kid, rock vid, splatter punks on acid, yeah
you're in trouble
head kick, sputnik, they don't know I'm psychic, yeah
you're in trouble--

I thought Splatter Punks sounded awesome, so I knew SplatterTribe would be even more Awesome and the rest is history!

BTW the name Splatter Punks originally came from the movie Robo-Cop, but the influence in the SplatterTribe name came from that Shotgun Messiah song.)

SplatterTribe: We have a Proverb Of The Week, on our NEW message board. One previous Prov was "If it ain't broke, you haven't used it enough". Another was "When Life Gives You Lemons, Learn To Throw.....Really Hard." You get the idea. I was wondering if you had an awesome Proverb we can use in the future?

Chromegirl: Accept no ones definition of your life; define yourself.

SplatterTribe: OK time to check out your writing skills. I wrote a verse to a song and then Miss December Roni Jonah wrote a verse. Now I need you to write the next one.

Me: Anymore I don't care If these walls fall down
I'll just dig a rut and live in the ground

Roni: Be the ruler of my underground town
Sex and violence, spread it all around.

Your Turn:

Chromegirl: I will make sense of these things I've found

Living, breathing, disappearing into the sound

SplatterTribe: Any closing comments concerning anything you want said, known, printed or shown?

Chromegirl: I am a performer, I live to dance and  I am ALWAYS looking for new

Go Go Dancing gigs. I do clubs, raves, fetish events, etc. and I am willing to travel. I am also an alternative model with experience in high fashion shoots, catalog, magazine, and runway. For examples of some of my work please check out my

As a self professed optimist I am really looking forward to this new decade. Our country has been going through some rough times economy wise, but I really feel like this new year we are going to turn things around. I leave you guys with one of my favorite quotes:

Life is a daring adventure...or nothing.
