TNA Wrestling. Total Nonstop Action Wrestling will be paying a visit to SplatterTribe Country on Friday, March 13 in Shepherdsville Kentucky. This stop is part of their 'Main Event Mafia Respect Tour' and also will be two nights before their big Destination X Pay-Per-View. Knowing that they were indeed invading SplatterTribe Country, TNA figured it might be a good idea to give us a heads up.

So to do that, they offered up TNA Knockout Sojourner Bolt and TNA Frontline Member Consequences Creed to talk with us a bit. You can view the Sojouner Bolt interview here and see how that went. Both these interviews were conducted on Friday, March 6.

Now, onto this interview with Frontline member Consequences Creed. Creed and his partner Jay Lethal (known as Lethal Consequences) will get a title shot this Friday in Shepherdsville against TNA Tag Team Champs Cowboy James Storm and Robert Roode (known as Beer Money Inc.) . Then, two days later Creed and Lethal will compete against each other, as well as, other TNA talent in the high impact Ultimate X match at TNA's Destination X Pay-Per-View. So we'll see how this young, up and coming athlete handles these upcoming challenges.

Creed seems to have a good head on his shoulders and didn't really give me any problems. He does seem to be one of those guys who's a little to cocky though and could probably learn to show the veterans a little bit more respect. He definitely overstepped himself with saying, one one one, he would have no problems defeating each member of The Main Event Mafia though. I mean, that's just my opinion, but usually in these cases my opinion is an ABSOLUTE FACT!

The fact is though, if Creed doesn't like that opinion, I'll be there Friday Night in Shepherdsville, KY. Enough said....

Anyway, judge for yourselves. Check out this interview. Check out the SoJourner Bolt interview. Watch TNA IMPACT Thursday night at 9pm on SpikeTV. Be sure to be there in Shepherdsville on Friday Night. Check out TNA Live in Cincinnati on Saturday night. Last but not least, Check out the BIG TNA Pay-Per-View Destination X on Sunday night.

TNA Frontline Member Consequences Creed

A phoner with Consequences Creed

SplatterTribe: So, what have you been up to this week?

Creed: Nothing much man, I'm actually in San Diego right now. A couple of us are out here doing some motion capture for the next video game we're putting out.

SplatterTribe: Is that something you'll be completeing this week?

Creed:
Yeah, I'll be done. I come out here every couple of weeks and put some more

moves in and then head right back home. So I'll be back home Sunday night.

SplatterTribe: So where is home for you?

Creed: I live in Atlanta. I was born in Columbus, Georgia at Fort Benning. My dad was in the ARMY. Then maybe, two months after I was born we moved out to L.A. Then when I was 8 we moved back to Georgia and I've been there ever since.

SplatterTribe: Why is it you didn't follow in your dads military steps?

Creed: Uhm, I have this thing about getting shot. It's not on my list of things to do

(laughs).

SplatterTribe: You went to college for Psychology and Philosophy so how did you end up in wrestling?

Creed: I always wanted to wrestle. So going to college and majoring in psychology and philosophy, those were my back up plans if something happens where I can't wrestle anymore or I just have to hang it up, which will hopefully be a while. I've always wanted to do psychology, something with kids, child psychology. One of my last courses was a course in Autism, so that really honed my focus in. When I'm done with wrestling, I really hope to do some sort of therapy with Autistic children.

SplatterTribe: When did you actually start wrestling on a paid, professional level, basis?

Creed: When I was in college. My freshman year of college. I would drive down to Georgia and wrestle for UCW for a guy named Rob Adonis. That's who trained me. So for a couple of months during the summer I worked with them. Then I went to Greenville, South Carolina to go to college and I'd drive down (Georgia) every other Saturday and wrestled with them. You know, working, putting the ring up and everything, being the new kid. Then, I found some people in South Carolina that helped me finish my training and they helped get me out there and get some bookings on my own. Then I pretty much, on the weekends, while I was in college, just traveled around the southeast wrestling...A lot of gas money spent (laughs).

SplatterTribe: So what was the first moment that you truly realized wrestling was the path you wanted to travel on?

Creed: Well, I mean, I've just always wanted to do it. There's never really been a question like, If I was going to. I've never been able to think of a time where I didn't know I wanted to be a professional wrestler.

"I busted my eyelid open on the concrete and I could see through it."

SplatterTribe: Who was you watching when you first started getting into wrestling, that made you want to do it?

Creed: I don't know. There's not really a specific person that I would pinpoint really, or a specific match, or a moment in time. I guess I would just say that the first time I saw wrestling I knew I wanted to do it. Some of the guys I watched coming up are obviously the guys I'm working with now. You got Kurt Angle, Sting, Booker T, (Kevin) Nash, (Scott) Steiner. You know, all of those guys I watched when I was coming up, so it's interesting working with them now and what's going on now with us.

SplatterTribe: What was your first match and who it was against?

Creed: My first singles match was with a guy named Frankie Valentine. It was awesome. It was pretty nerve wrecking, but I did ok for it being my first one.

SplatterTribe: You actually debuted on TNA on a pay-per-view what was it like going into that?

Creed: I realized that I was either going to do terribly and have that be my one shot on pay-per-view, and everyone would see that and that's how I would be remembered, or I'd knock it out and get the contract. Luckily, I did well and they offered me a contract, so things worked out. It was pretty much a do or die situation at that point. As you know, first of all we were in my hometown. All of my friends were there. There was tons of people in the arena. There was tons of people watching all over the world. I don't think I've ever really been more nervous to do something in my life.

SplatterTribe: I know your first story line kind of got scrapped after that appearance because of those involved in the story line with you Ron Killings, Pac Man Jones, were soon gone from the company for one reason or another,  was that a nerve wrecking time as well? And what was going on at that time?

Creed: I was finishing up school. Yeah, that's one of the awesome things about TNA, they really care about their wrestlers and everybody, for that matter. You know, I got my contract in October of that year and I was going to be done in May, the following year with school. So rather than put me on a full time schedule and have me miss tons of class all the time, they let me sign and then had me on a much smaller schedule. So I wouldn't miss class and finish up and get both of my degrees. Right after I got done is when they finally brought me up to the full time schedules. They didn't rush me or anything. They let me finish everything I wanted to do. They felt the same way I did about school. You know, it's very important I get finished and everything like that. So there was no discrepancies on my end, I was just happy they were letting me finish up what I was doing.

SplatterTribe: I'm sure you've seen the Wrestler movie, as a young wrestler, what do you take from a movie like that or is it just a movie?

Creed: To me it's just a movie, cause I mean, each person in life makes their own decisions and we're all a product of our own actions, you know. I don't smoke. I don't drink. I don't do drugs. I've got all of my money going towards my student loans, you know, I'm doing thing with my life. As you can see in the movie, if you've seen it, you know, he makes some bad decisions in his life. I don't think it's necessarily wrestlers in general, that's just......some people just go down that road, you know? I don't take anything from it because that's not how I live my life. So it's not really hit anywhere with me. I've seen guys that that has happened to and I feel bad for them, but the guys I wrestle with now, I feel have a good head on their shoulders. I've learned a lot from the people I work with and from a lot of the veterans. You got to take care of yourself. Don't go out partying all the time. Make sure your taking care of your money. You don't want to end up broke and have nothing to show for it at the end of your run. So, it's just......it was a fine movie, but I don't think it says that all wrestlers are like that.

SplatterTribe: So how much influence are the veterans at TNA now? Do you watch and learn?

Creed: Well, yeah, I mean it's the same thing as when I was younger. I'm definitely a student of the game. If I'm not playing video games, I'm watching wrestling. But, I mean, being able to get to do this, working with the guys I watched growing up, getting advice from them, getting tips on what I could do better, it's a big learning process. I'm glad I learn from guys who've been doing it for so long.

SplatterTribe: So, with the guys you've wrestled with so far, who's had the most painful move?

Creed: There's been some painful things I've been through, you know, but I would have to say the Destroyer. The Canadian Destroyer is probably the most painful.

SplatterTribe: What matches have you felt the most afterwards?

Creed: I would have to say that pay-per-view match at Bound For Glory. You couldn't really tell in the match because it was near the end but I busted my eyelid open on the concrete and I could see through it. There was blood all over my face. As soon as I got to the back, I got Novocain shots in my eyelid, got that sewn up and then got to go to school.

SplatterTribe: Welcome to the big leagues?

Creed: No, it just happened. Things occur. Things your not ready for. My face had a meeting with the concrete at one point at the end of the match and that was probably the one I felt the most. I've been pretty lucky. I haven't had any serious, major injuries minus that one. So, that would have to be my answer.

SplatterTribe: Well, I guess conditioning helps out alot in these matches what other kind of work out routine's do you do that helps?

Creed: Yeah, yeah definitely. (I) pretty much (do) a workout that I've kept up from wrestling all through out middle school and high school, you know. I get a lot of cardio and then it varies from day to day. Where I'm at. What I'm doin'. It's harder to keep on a hard, definite schedule of working out at 10 am when we're all over the place.

SplatterTribe: You went with TNA on the recent oversees trip. What was that experience like?

Creed: That was the first time I've been oversees and getting to go over there and travel and getting to wrestle at the same time was like a dream come true. The fans over there were crazy. It was awesome. Most of the shows were sold out because, you know, we're not over there that much. So the fans really took it to heart and came out to see us.

"Of course.

There's no question." Line up the Main Event Mafia

and, "I'll knock'm down."

SplatterTribe: Did you do much sight seeing while you were over there?

Creed: It was pretty much, since we were all over the place when we were there, either sleep or travel. I pretty much was set on seeing Big Ben and I got to do that and see the Palace and everything in London. So I was happy with that.

SplatterTribe: Is crowd reaction completely different from country to country?

Creed: Well, I mean, that's one of the cool things about wrestling. It's all in the same language. You see action in the ring, you react to it. We had our biggest show in history over there. It was the last night we were oversees and that was just........I don't know.....It was just crazy energy, you know? Everybody was so pumped and reacting really good for everything. It's always good to have people reacting to stuff. You can definitely feel that energy. It makes you just put a little more into what you are doing.

SplatterTribe: You said before you like to play video games, is that pretty much your hobby outside the wrestling world?

Creed: Yeah, I go to the gym and then just play X-box the rest of the day.

SplatterTribe: OK, as far as 1 on 1 matches, can you defeat every member of the Main Event Mafia?

Creed: Of course. There's no question. Line'm up, I'll knock'm down.

SplatterTribe: So what kind of music do you get into?

Creed: I really listen to everything, but at the moment I'm stuck on this Kirk Wallen song called 'Round Trip'. The whole cd is called 'Round Trip', after the song. I'm stuck on that and (laughs) this Babyface song called, 'It's Not A Crime'. Yeah, once I hear a song I haven't heard in a while or hear stuff that attracts my ear, I have this thing where I just listen to it incessantly until I can't stand it anymore.

SplatterTribe: If you could have anybody record an intro for you, who would you get?

Creed: Well, James Brown. He would have to do it. Well, I mean, he aint going to do it, but 'Living In America' is like a dream song.

SplatterTribe: How exactly did you come up with your gimmick? I know you had it prior to TNA.

Creed: Yeah, well, the guys that I was training with in Georgia, there were maybe 3 of us in the class that the trainers thought were doing an exceptional job in training. They got all in a room and gave us a pep talk or whatever and give us each a box. They were all randomized, but we later found out that in each box was gear that they used to wear in the 80's. Mine, you know, luck of the draw, happened to be, Red, White & Blue and you know, the cape that you see. I've upgraded the gear and what not, but the cape is still something I've kept as a memento. I think it was made in '82, I think. I got it from my trainer. I know it looks kind of ratty, but that's why I keep it around, it's got that vintage and that history. I like having it with me.

SplatterTribe: So it was just a matter of chance?

Creed: Yeah, pretty much (laughs)

SplatterTribe: Not from being a life long fanatic of the Rocky movie, huh?

Creed: No, I wish I could say it was, but it was really random. It just happened to work out well.

SplatterTribe: Has that been your lone gimmick?

Creed: That was pretty much the start. I was Awesome Austin Creed.

SplatterTribe: Outside of yourself, who do you think is the most underrated wrestler in TNA?

Creed: I don't know. Let me think on that.....I'd probably have to go with Jimmy Rave. He's an incredible wrestler and if you ever get the chance to see any of his stuff from the independents, like Ring Of Honor and stuff like that, he's really, really talented. I'd definitely recommend watching some of that stuff.

SplatterTribe: Who would you like to see in TNA?

Creed: Sal Rinauro. He's an independent wrestler from Georgia. He's one of those guys that I rode the roads with all up and down the southeast. He taught me a lot of stuff. I have him to thank for a lot of the things I've got going on today. He is currently in Ring Of Honor, but I'd love to have him at TNA. He is an awesome wrestler and a great guy.

SplatterTribe: So tell us why we should watch TNA Wrestling.

Creed: Cause TNA is Total Nonstop Action. It's the greatest wrestling on the face of the planet. You're not gonna see it anywhere else. We've got the six-sided ring and it's a lot better than watching wrestling in a four sided ring, because the action come from not four, but six directions. And because I'm there.

SplatterTribe: Tell us why we should rent the Destination X pay-per-view.

Creed: Because (laughs), there's going to be the Ultimate X match. If you don't know what that is, there's four cables hanging above the ring and you have to climb across them and unhinge the X-Division Title that's hanging in the middle. The cables are probably 10 above the ring and it's a very, very unique and innovative kind of match. I've personally never been in one, but everybody else involved has been. So I'm not gonna lie. I'm kind of nervous about it because I've seen the things that can go on in it. It's possibly one of the most dangerous matches that TNA has got.

SplatterTribe: Can you leave that match Champion?

Creed: Of course.

SplatterTribe: So what can we expect in Shepherdsville when it will be Lethal Consequences Vs Beer Money for the TNA Tag Titles?

Creed: In Shepherdsville at the Paroquet Springs Conference Center Friday, March 13 and everybody can get tickets at Ticketmaster.com. And I want everybody to know that we have a little secret in store for Jacqueline (Beer Money manager). They like to play this 3 on 2 game. So we got a little surprise for her coming up, so you have to come out and see what it is!
