Garden Of EEEEVILLL: Evil New Year 2010-2011 OKC, OK...

SplatterTribe: Introduce yourself and compare yourself to any 'EVIL' cartoon character and explain why the comparison...

Evil: Poison Ivy is depicted as one of the world's most prominent eco-terrorists. She is obsessed with plantsbotany, and environmentalism. She uses toxins from plants and her own bloodstream for her criminal activities, which are usually aimed at protecting the natural environment. (from Wiki) If I have to explain the the comparison..... well come have a brownie and you'll find out!

SplatterTribe: For anyone who does not know who Evil DelBono is, please enlighten them.

Evil: I've been told I'm the hostess with the mostist, brownie baker extraordinaire, but really I am a California Girl who grew up with the music of the sunset strip and the glam bands of the 80's. I LOVE to throw parties and promote bands. I can party with the best of them, or kick back in my back yard making s'mores and enjoying some of the Garden's Harvest. I am a bitch to work with because I expect a job to be done and done right, but yet I can be a lazy ass sloth!

SplatterTribe: Why do you feel such a connection to the 80's Hard Rock/Glam Metal scene and the newer acts that are influenced by that scene?

Evil: My Brother was given a KISS 'Rock & Roll Over' record in the late 70's and I remember seeing that cover and saying ooh yeah I like that. (now my brother having no musical taste used the record as target practice) Then I some how ended up with a Quiet Riot 'Metal Health' LP I used to blast when I was pissed at my parents. I knew rock n roll had something for me. Then the glitz and the glam of the sunset strip with Motley Crue, Guns N Roses, and my forever love, Poison. I was hooked.

SplatterTribe: You have your annual 'New Years Evil' event coming up, give us the lowdown on that and how did you decide on OK for the event?

Evil: We had such an wonderful time doing the Rock N America After Party, there was no other place we'd rather be than The Stone Garden in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We have everything you could want under one roof.

Starting with an amazing meal of  Filet Mignon, Baked Potato, Mixed Green Salad, Honey Roasted Carrots, bread, Chocolate Layered Cake, Coffee, Tea & Water for $25. per person.

Live music in the Ballroom (more bands TBA) from OKC's own Heavens Rain, Chicago boys Down & Dirty, and headlining is Bombay Black.  $50.00

Rooms for the night are $79/$99 (+taxes)

In the morning no need to go out in public with that hang over, we've got the breakfast buffet on site. Fluffy Scrambled Eggs, Crispy Bacon (OOOH THE BACON!), Country Sausage Patties, Buttermilk Biscuits and Southern Sausage Gravy, Breakfast Potatoes, Assorted Pastries, Muffins and Bagels with Assorted Cream Cheese, Preserves and Butter. Assorted Fresh Seasonal Fruit $15. per person.

SplatterTribe: Define these words as they pertain to you...

Evil: -Music is what makes my heart pump and gets my panties wet
-Entertainment pyrotechnics, confetti, screaming guitar thumping bass, kicking drums and beautiful front man
-Art  obviously I know nothing of art because most I say I'm like REALLY? Is that a dried piece of shit?
-Life  the enjoyment of everything you do. without enjoyment you have no life. My goal in life is to be happy and help others to be happy. that is why I created the Garden of Evil. To allow people to for one (or 4) nights forget their problems, their jobs, the bills and just be happy enjoying life.

SplatterTribe: This past year 'The Garden' did not appear at 'Rocklohoma' as usual, but instead showed up at 'Rock N' America'. Why and how did the 'Rock N' America' event go?

Evil: I was approached by RNA to do the Garden in a way we were unable to do at Rocklahoma. Indoors in the hotel that a LOT of the guests and all the bands were staying at. I was excited to give it a chance. It turned out awesome! We had Down & Dirty, Heavens Rain, Dirty Penny, Moto Christ, LA Guns, Rising Wind, Pretty Little Suicide. We has special guests every night Steve Brown of Trixter, George Lynch & Bobby Blotzer played some Van Halen, John Corabi, and Milli of Steelheart. All the musicians and VIP wondered through the Garden Gate at one time or another including Eddie Trunk.

SplatterTribe: Your husband 'Aaron' is basically your partner in crime in all of this, I also noticed he has got into photography as well. Tell us a little about how he got started doing the photography.

Evil: Actually we both had the same photography teacher in high school (yes we've know each other for 22 years)  we both have the eye, we would both look at a photo op and discuss how would be the best way to shoot it. As we started to get better camera equipment he was willing to learn how to really use it (I never read the manuals back to that lazy issue) So of course a better camera now he has the quality equipment to go with the quality shot. (Tho I know he would like the $3K lens still!) Helps he knows music so he knows how a musician is going to move to get the money shots. He has peers in the concert photography scene that he loves to work with and talk to that help push him to take better photos. www.EvilEyeImages.com

SplatterTribe: Finish the following sentences for us...

Evil: --If you don't like me you can...Fuck off because I don't care
--I cannot stand...Lying fake people
--There's nothing cooler than...a sexy musician domineering the stage, making the crowd their bitch.
--What in the... the hell was I thinking?
--I wish I was... independently wealthy
--I should have listened when... what, were talking to me?
--I always knew... I'd end up in the music business (just thought I'd have married in)
--What if... we all just did good?

--I got no problem admitting... that I am a spoiled bitch.

--All I need for a good day is... wake up next to Aaron and my puppy Penny

--If I was president... I'd fire every single jack ass (and elephants) in office and their bull shit laws and start fresh with new fresh minded people

SplatterTribe:  If you saw previews for a movie entitled 'SplatterTribe', what would you think it was about?

Evil: A PORN!

SplatterTribe:  Do you believe...

Evil: -in Ghosts? Hell yes. Grew up with the lady in white in my house as a child
-in UFO's? Did you know if you grab one of those grey fuckers by the neck and try to strangle him, they don't come back!
-in Monsters? There are too many monsters in the world now a days.
-in Sasquatch? Have you ever flown over the USA and watched out the window the whole time? there is a lot of forest out there.
-in Zombies? I've sure as hell felt like one a few times!
-that the world is going to end in 2012? No I believe the end has already started, the world will move on with or without us!
-in 2nd chances? If I didn't I wouldn't be married to my amazing husband!
-in miracles? Miracles happen every day, you just have to be open minded enough to see them
-in magic? magic is all around us.
-in karma? ooh hell yes!
-that we really landed on the moon? Yes, my father was on the down com link in the military and has told me stories about a LOT of the NASA space missions in the late 60's.
-in reincarnation? Yes, I can account for four or five of my own
-that dreams mean something? Your dreams are just your brain dealing with daily issues you're too chicken shit to deal with awake
-in De Ja Vu? didn't you just ask that?
-in fate? yes, but I also believe in free will.
-in the butterfly effect? a smile can change the world
-everything you see? No, not even close. but there are many things I see that aren't there...or were they?
-everything you hear? No way

SplatterTribe: OK, in this question I want you to pick 5 bands and 5 bands only, that you want to promote by dropping their band name right here, right now...
Evil: Down & Dirty out of Chicago, Heavens Rain from Oklahoma, Bombay Black out of Arkansas, Reckless Love Sweden, and Dirty Penny from Cali.

SplatterTribe: What are your favorite shows to watch on TV?

Evil: Favorite, can't say I have a favorite, I'm sort addicted to reality TV (because I spend A LOT of time bored at client's houses) I love cooking shows, biggest loser, Amazing Race,  but TV is really background noise to me.

SplatterTribe: If you could put together your own 10 band package tour of any bands ever...who would they be?

Evil: (in no order) Reckless Love, Crazy Lixx, Down & Dirty, Hardcore Superstar, Dirty Penny, Banshee, (original) Guns N Roses, Skid Row (original line up),  and Sticky Pillow

SplatterTribe: I ask everyone that does the 'Splattered Q & A' if they have a good, random question to ask a future interviewee, so this question comes from 'Scorpions' drummer 'James Kottak' and his question is...

-If an angel came to see you, would you make her feel at home?

Evil:- I'd offer her/him a beer & and joint!

SplatterTribe: Do you have a good, random question I can ask a future Q & A answerer?

Evil: If you could change one thing, anything in the world what would it be?

SplatterTribe: Do you have a question you would like to ask me?

Evil: If SplatterTribe had it's own commune what would your core belief be?

(Tribe Note: Universal Freedom of Expression- Respectfully, Intensely & Aggressively.)

SplatterTribe: Songwriting time! I wrote 2 lines to a verse and then 'James Kottak' wrote 2 more, I need you to add 2 more...got it?

I wrote:
The sky just fell
Now my head is in the clouds

James wrote:
I feel like hell
but I really love the crowds

Evil:

Was that an angel I just heard yell?

I can't hear her muffled cries through through the shrouds

SplatterTribe: Do I ask to many questions?

Evil: You sure don't make for an easy interview...you made me think too much!

SplatterTribe: Any closing comments concerning anything you want said, known, printed or shown?

Evil: Thanks for taking the time to put my ramblings up again. the Garden Of Evil is moving into it's 5th summer of festivals and this is promising to be our best year yet. STAY TUNED at www.GardenofEvil.net !!  Thank you to all the Garden Gnomes for your support and help through the years. My biggest thanks to my wonderful amazing husband Aaron who shares my passion and love for music. I could never do this without him!
