Well, It has been a
long, long while
since there has been
a Splattered Q & A
posted on here.
There's a lot of
reasons why there
hasn't been, but I
have touched on all
of that in the NEWS
section. The
important thing is
this brand spanking
NEW Q & A!
James Kottak,
drummer of the
legendary Scorpions
and vocalist/guitarist of his
own band Kottak,
has now been
Splattered!.
James has played and
recorded with
various artists &
bands throughout his
career and joined
the Scorpions in
1996. (He also
played drums for the
one and only
Ronnie James Dio).
Honestly, six degrees of
separation from
James Kottak would
list the entire Rock
N Roll
world and everyone
else you know! I mean,
the SOB has Rock &
Roll Forever
tattooed
on his entire back!
He knows Rock N
Roll.
If James Kottak aint
Rock N Roll, I don't
know what is!
He is married to
SplatterTribe alumni
and former Tribe
advice columnist, K.A.M.F.'N Athena
Lee Kottak, who also
jams with James in
the band Kottak.
See, James plays
drums for the
Scorpions. Then
takes on the alias
of Jimmy Ratchitt
and plays guitar and
sings in his band
Kottak... which is
named after his real
name... not the name
he uses in that
band... and while he
plays guitar and
sings in Kottak
(which was
originally named Krunk before Lil Jon
took the name over),
his wife Athena
(who's brother is
the legendary drummer of
Motley Crue) plays
drums for the band.
(BTW, Athena also did a Q
& A with us last
summer that can be
viewed
HERE!)
Anyway, James is in
the middle of the
Scorpions farewell
tour and I irritated
the hell out of him
to get this Q & A
back to me. So, I
appreciate him
rushing it back. I
would like to get a
more in depth
interview with him
down the line and we
have spoke about it
before. So maybe
we'll get that done
sometime, but for
NOW James Kottak
