SplatterTribe's Miss July 2010 is Model Monica Rae Autumn!!!

Read her Q & A and Leave Her and the Tribe a Comment At The Bottom Of The Page!!!

SplatterTribe: Introduce and compare yourself to something that can burn someone and explain why the comparison!

Monica Rae Autumn: Alright, Hey folks - Monica Rae Autumn here! I hail from the great Windy City Chicago, born & raised. I'm comparable to a flame for many reasons. First off, I carry the fire inside - if you've ever seen the movie "The Road" with Viggo Mortensen you would be aware what I'm talking about...basically saying that I have a deep passion for what I do and I keep the fire/flame alive. I try to never let it burn out, I stay motivated no (matter) what's going on around me. The worst I can say about being able to burn someone is kind of like that saying "Don't play with fire unless you want to get burned" - I'm a sweet girl but if you mess with me first, I'll burn you! ....not that I'd want to, but just throwin' it out there!

SplatterTribe: For anyone that has no idea who Monica Rae Autumn is, Please

enlighten them.

Monica Rae Autumn: I'm a little lady who's a tough cookie! I'm the girl who tries to avoid being stereotyped or pigeon-holed in any way. I'd be taking the easy way out by saying "I'm a Rock Chick, I model, I love shopping" - there really are too many ways to describe me, it all depends on who you ask. I've been called everything in my life: Goth girl, punk rock chick, preppy to some, materialistic, nerdy, smart, ditzy, reserved, crazy....I like to tell people that I am un-definable. You simply cannot define me in one sentence. And I like that! So if you want to know who I am, you've got to find out for yourself ;)

SplatterTribe:  If you could have been in any music video from any era, what would it be and why?

Monica Rae Autumn: Definitely the 80's! I'm in love with all things 80's, I've said so many times that I wish I was a teenager during that time! The fashion was killer, it was hysterical and hot at the same time. Spandex, glitter, neon colors, leg warmers, Ray Bans....hell yeah! A lot of it is coming back but it's just not the same, you know? I'm still a huge fan of the pop diva's back then like Madonna, Pat Benatar, Cyndi Lauper. Don't get me started on hair metal - LOVE IT. Def Leppard, Motley Crue, The Scorpions, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake....dude, I only wish I was in one of their music videos back then! Hahaha.

SplatterTribe:  If you where going to be a killer in a horror movie, how would you kill people and how would you lure them in.

Monica Rae Autumn: You're (not) trying to have me reveal my secrets now, are you? ;)  Let's just say I'd use something long & sharp. Maybe. I'd have to liquor them up first too, always a treat!

SplatterTribe: What is your association with piercings and do you have any tattoos?

Monica Rae Autumn: PIERCINGS! You just a hit a nerve. Hahaha. Piercings are like lovers to me....does that sound odd? Maybe I should explain....well, I'm sure those who have gotten pierced multiple times know what I'm talking about. There are certain piercings you crave & want so badly...then you finally go do it and it feels amazing. It's like a high, in a way. I've read that getting pierced relieves stress, similar to acupuncture. That's very true! Supposedly it regulates and stabilizes blood flow to all parts of body....anyways, after a while you grow bored of some piercings - again, very true for me. I've been pierced more than 15 times and the only piercings I still kept are my nose & tongue.

As far as tattoos, I don't have any and I honestly can't say if or when that will ever change. It's been on my mind though, trust me, but I've never actually went ahead with it for many reasons.

SplatterTribe: If someone was going to make a collectible toy of you, would you want it to be Barbie Doll Style, Voodoo Doll Style, Porcelain Doll Style, Raggedy Anne Style, Blow Up Doll Style or Statue Collectors Style? Also what would it be wearing and what accessories would come with it?

Monica Rae Autumn: Porcelain Doll, yes! I used to collect them when I was little, I had a bunch of them! There is something about porcelain dolls that intrigues me. They're very beautiful but you have to be careful with them....if you play with them the wrong way, they'll break. There is also something creepy and mysterious-like about them, right? It's hard to pick just one outfit...so let's just go with a Victorian-style dress. Accessories? A black lace parasol and a pistol :)

SplatterTribe: What is the dumbest thing a guy has ever said to you? BTW, you can't use any of my questions as an answer!

Monica Rae Autumn: Hahaha. Damn, this one is SO hard! Guys say a lot of oddities. Though there was a time this one guy kept telling me how he works as a male stripper and would love to give me a free lap dance...first off, the dude was supremely unattractive (at least to me he was, though other girls might disagree with me) and his breath was just awful!!! His whole come-on was dumb, if you're going to offer a girl a lap dance (and isn't it usually the other way around? hahaha) at least brush your damn teeth or pop a mint first!

(Tribe Note: BTW... I apologize for that! That Damn Garlic Bread!)

SplatterTribe: OK, with a total of 100% can you break down how much of your life is each of these ratings?

-G
-PG
-PG-13
-R
-NC-17
-Unrated

Monica Rae Autumn: Easy. It's all completely 100% rated G. Great for the whole family! Haha, just kidding. It depends on whether I am rating the weekends/holidays and whatnot, so let's just leave this answer up to your imagination!

SplatterTribe: Define these words as they pertain to you...

Monica Rae Autumn:

-Music-
Music needs to be able to stir some sort of emotion in me otherwise it's not good music. Whether it be happiness, sadness, contemplation, or being able to retrieve old memories. Music is a big part in most people's lives for a reason. There are certain songs that work like mood medicine, they make me happy the second I hear them even when I've had a crappy day. Who needs anti-depressants, right? Haha. I've also had music make me cry, sometimes what you hear is so beautiful and other-worldly that it does that to you.

-Entertainment-
Is what we need in order to break through the redundancy of living the 9-5 bill-paying life. We use entertainment as an escape, whether it be movies, music, photography, reading, video gaming - everyone's got their thing! Entertainment in all forms is extremely important for a healthy well-being! Work hard but play hard too!

-Art-
Is crucial to me. Again, art is something that comes in various forms. I go out of my way to surround myself with it. I love to hang beautiful photography, paintings, and portraits in my apartment. It's important to wake up and feel inspired, and that's exactly what art does for me. I model so that's my outlet for creating imagery, trying to share my vision.

I've also written a ton of poetry since the age of 15, that is art of mine that is more personal to me so I'm more reluctant to "share it with the world" - so to speak. In addition to all that, I write. A dream of mine since I was 3 years old (no joke, and no - that is not a typo! Three years old!) is to become a writer and someday publish a book (or several) of mine.

-Life-
Life is not to be taken for granted! So many people wallow in their misfortunes, but you have got to be grateful for all that you have. Easier said then done, right? Haha. But it's those times that make us curse life where we learn the most. Life isn't always a peachy cream-pie, but you've got to learn to stand tall (figuratively speaking, and yes - even shorties like me gotta stand tall!!!). I absolutely love that Chinese proverb "Fall down 7 times, get up 8" - that's what you gotta do. I think once people get that, life seems a lot more pleasant! You learn to appreciate the small things, live in the moment, and stop stressing about what needs to be fixed or what's going wrong in your life.

SplatterTribe: What comes to mind when you hear the word SplatterTribe?

Monica Rae Autumn: A bunch of sexy horror fanatics!

(Tribe Note: That's actually a really good guess...)

SplatterTribe: Are you into sports at all? If so...what are your teams?

Monica Rae Autumn: Hmm, would it be an utter cliché if I said the Chicago Blackhawks right now? ......Yeah, probably. Hahahaha, all the fans creepin' out of the woodwork! Honestly though, I love to watch Football, especially my team Chicago Bears!!!! They are my favorite sports team. And yes, I'm a Cubs fan too....do I hear cheers and boos? Haha, nice. Gotta love Chicago!

SplatterTribe: If a superhero was based on you what would your name be, what would be your powers and what side would you be on?

Monica Rae Autumn: Cat Woman is already taken, damnit! No, I'd have some sort of seductive porn-star-ish name in order to distract the assailants.....because really, what kind of criminal man would want to fight someone named Vixen Kitten? You're not much of a tough guy if you've beaten someone by the name of Vixen Kitty, honestly. I'd like to freeze people with my stare, that'd be pretty sweet! And I'd be the good girl, always! Fightin' thugs and bad bitches one day at a time :)

(Tribe Note: I wouldn't want to be beat up by Vixen Kitty, but I'd commit a crime just to see the outfit she shows up in!)

SplatterTribe: I ask each Miss is they have a good, random question to ask the next Miss, with that being said, this question comes from Miss May Deneen Melody and her question is...

-Who would you rather side with…the pirates or ninjas? (And you must pick one! Only one!) (and why?)-

Monica Rae Autumn: PIRATES....because they're sexy? And they steal lots of gold & jewelry...so yay! More loot for me! Gimme, gimme!

SplatterTribe: Do you have a good, random question I can ask the next Miss?

Monica Rae Autumn: Sure do! Do you prefer to dominate in the bedroom or are you more likely to take orders? You've got to pick one! And why? :)

(Tribe Note: Oh yeah...You where supposed to answer the question as well!...Well...)

SplatterTribe: Do you have a question you would like to ask me?

Monica Rae Autumn: Are you the type of guy that finds smoking kind of sexy...or utterly disgusting? And are you a smoker yourself?

(Tribe Note: Why you askin' for? Oh, wait, you probably mean cigarette's...my bad! I thought you meant Uhm... cigars...anyway... I actually quit smoking about 8 months ago. So, although it does not bother me to be around smokers, I'm not sure that I necessarily find it sexy either...)

SplatterTribe:  If you had a Parrot that learned to speak by listening to you, what are some sayings it would say?

Monica Rae Autumn: It would say "Yo, gimme some sugar, baby!" and "You look hot today!" so even on my craptastic-looking days (and we ALL have those, don't we?) I could be at least have the parrot tell me I look good....hahaha kidding, kidding. I'm sure the parrot would learn a slew of profanity as well, unfortunately.....hey, I'm cutting back on the cussing though! I really haven't sweared that much during this interview, right? :)

SplatterTribe: Do you believe........ (please answer each and feel free to adlib)

Monica Rae Autumn:

--in ghosts? I prefer to call them "spirits of the deceased" - And yes, I do. To a point though....I mean, I don't think they watch you in your sleep and all of that.....but I'm sure they are out there.
--in UFOs? Not quite. But there has got to be life outside of Earth. We are tiny compared to what else is out there in outer space, ya know?
--in conspiracy theories? Of course. The government is one big conspiracy theory all on its own.
--in Sasquatch? I think I've worked with one of those......
--in Zombies
? Eating brains? Mumbling, groaning, and not making sense? Sure.
--that the world will end in 2012? Nope. But if I'm wrong you can come back and say "I told you so!" - Oh wait, we'd all be dead. Ok, never mind.....
--in 2nd chances? Generally, yes. But sometimes certain things do not deserve a second chance. It really depends on what it is.
--in miracles? Absolutely!
--in magic? Love is magic, baby.
--in Karma? Definitely. What comes around, goes around. It's the circle that keeps on rolling and spinning.
--that we landed on the moon? I really don't know all the details when it comes to the whole moon-landing debacle, so I can't really say yay or nay. From what I've seen, the moon looks dirty and pretty dusty....so if we did land there, couldn't the astronauts have cleaned it up a little? Jeez.....haha
--in reincarnation? Somewhat. I think my cat Ginger was once a passenger on the Titanic...her fear of water has got to stem from somewhere, right?

SplatterTribe: Make one combined sentence out of the following words or phrases...

-Autumn
-Splattered
-Ju
ly
-Cat
-Marker
-Record Player

Monica Rae Autumn: It was the middle of July when I splattered designs with a marker all over the record player while my cat was lying in the sun, her fur brown and orange like the colors of autumn.

SplatterTribe: Now that you are SplatterTribe's Miss June, What are you going to do next?

Monica Rae Autumn: Hopefully continuing to create, inspire, and drink more delicious vodka. I will also be in the Miss Wicker Park pageant this summer so don't forget to vote for me! I have also recently started the Intern position with Satania Films so you can catch me at Woodfield's Hot Topic promoting the new Jezebeth movie this July!  There is always a ton of new awesome things happening with me -  I want to keep some projects on the hush-hush so I don't jinx it! :) More shoots to come as well. Just having a great time! I'll keep you posted!

SplatterTribe: Songwriting time! I wrote 2 lines to a verse and then the last 4 'Miss's' added 2 lines each. It's your turn to add 2 more! or you can just add a chorus-line

Me:

Anymore I don't care if these walls fall down
I'll just dig a rut and live in the ground
Roni:

Be the ruler of my underground town
Sex and Violence, spread it around
Chromegirl:

I will make sense of these things I've found
Living, Breathing, disappearing into the sound

Danielle:

A fallen angel: broken, tattered and torn
Savior of those who should have never been born
Haley T:

a lifeless decision of all they could be,
feeling as if they've been cast out to sea

Julie Anne :

Never give up,

never give in
Life’s full of choices,

decide if you win

Deneen Melody:

Oh, so don’t run away,

stay by my side
We can get through this,

there’s no reason to hide

Monica Rae Autumn: You can decide if it's right for yourself,

brings friends and those of blood & kin
We will soar above the destruction,

rise against the malice and sin
