--Wow... I did not
realize how long it
has been since I
updated the News
section here at SplatterTribe.TV...
Sometimes there may
be quiet times but
there will always be
another time...
--Anyway, what's
new?
I've started
doing some song
writing, which is
something I had not
done for a while.
Sometimes
somethings happen
that give you a
little inspiration,
whether good or bad,
and that is what
this summer has
done for me. I don't know
what exactly I am
writing for, or
where it may pop up,
but I have some
idea's... So we'll
just have to see
what happens.
--So, I am still
setting on a few
interviews and damn
do they hurt.
No,
really I do have a
few interviews that I
have yet to
transcribe. I will
hopefully be doing
that soon, with a
new one posted before
long. I also have a
couple of email
interviews out and I
have several still
to do. I have been
trying to get a phoner done with 15
year old guitar
sensation Joey
Doherty for months
now, but it has yet
to happen (my
fault). I will be
getting that done
before long though.
Joey is an awesome
guitarist. Check his video out
below & find out for
yourself. You can
also check out his
bands MySpace page
at the following
link:

--I'm going to be
changing up the
interview pages a
bit. I think some of
the web design gets
lost in the
transition from my
computer to
everyone else's. So,
I think I am going
to simplify things
on those pages. I may
be simplifying
things on a lot of
pages actually.
Sometime simpler is
indeed better!
--The Tribe will
soon be
featuring some
different-style
interviews.
I think
I am seeing a
direction that will
keep things both
fresh & real. I
am also seeing the
next level.
--I am also looking
for contributors to
the site. If you
think you would be
interested in a
column or doing
interviews and/or
reviews, send me an
email and let's
talk.
--Hey BTW, have you
checked out Miss
August yet? If not,
check her out now...Here!
--I just want to
say that I hate
Magicians and
because of that
there is a Magicians
ban here on
SplatterTribe.TV!
No Magicians can
work for SplatterTribe.TV and
no Magicians can be
covered by
SplatterTribe.TV
until further notice!
This is now an
OFFICIAL ban!
--Who's afraid of
the Big Black Bat?
Not me... I'm not
afraid of the
Batman.
--You know what
the most annoying
thing in the world
is?
When you go to a
website and adds
start rolling across
the screen or
scooting across the
screen or popping
into the screen and
then you cannot find
the X to close it
out. I promise no
matter what, under
no circumstances
will you ever see
those on
SplatterTribe.TV!
Damn, do they annoy
the Hell out of me.
--I have found a
few of my old
interviews from
years and years ago.
I may be posting
some of those
soon.
--Ok, that might
be all for
now...Wait a
minute...Maybe
Not...
--The The Scream
Queen:
How do you feel the
camera captured your
stage presence and
energy?
Brian:
You know, it does
what it can do,
you're never going
to really be able to
get all of the
energy of a live
show, which is
also what the
Internet can't
steal, you can't
steal the live
experience...
That is
the
best quote I have
read in a long time.
It was taken from
from an interview
with Brian Fair,
vocalist of the
Metal band Shadows
Fall.
You can see the
entire interview at
this link:
couldn't agree with
someone more! This
is for all those
people who spend
money and time to go
to a concert
and then spend the
whole concert
standing there
holding their cell
phones up so they
can record shitty
video's
for YouTube.
That is definitely a pet peeve
of mine. I
understand you want
to record the video
to be seen. I
understand there are people,
including myself
that sometimes watch
these things on
YouTube, but DAMN!
You got to see it, smell it, feel
it, experience it
you know? Put your frickin' cell phones
down and enjoy the
show! Your video is probably going to
suck as bad as some
of SplatterTribe.TV's
own early video's
anyway!
--Green Jello and
Steel Panther...
That is a my
definition of a
'Silly Bandz' BTW.
--So, I was
sobering up one
weekend morning and
this dude, that
looked like a dude I
used to know, pulled
up in a car and
started talking
about his band from
Illinois...
--What am I
listening to?Eminem-Recovery,
Texas Hippie
Coalition-Rollin'
& Pride of
Texas, Hank
III-Rebel Within
... Plus, I found a
bunch of old
cassette's and I now
have a cassette
player, so I've been
listening to some
classic stuff: old
mixed (rock) tapes
from 80's & 90's,
KISS, Black Sabbath,
White Zombie,
Monster Magnet,
etc, etc. I don't
know why, it's just
cool listening to
cassette's, not as
cool as records, but
cooler than than
cd's.
--Expendables...
I liked it. Glad I
saw it in the
Theater.
--Does anyone
have any idea...
Well, do ya?
--OK, I think
that is it for now.
I'll be back sooner
than last time!
